Winter Concert Prep

We hope everyone is returning from having enjoyed a Happy Thanksgiving!

Winter Concert Tickets & Call for Chaperones

We are just a couple weeks away from one of the biggest concerts of the school year, and one of the biggest concerts in Central Florida during the holidays: West Orange Choir Winter Concert 2017! As we prepare, we are asking for any volunteers who might be able to chaperone the dress rehearsals (Wednesday, 12/13 from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm & Thursday, 12/14 from 12:30 pm to 5:30 pm). Whether you are able to chaperone for one or both, please let us know and we will be in touch with details. Visit our Volunteer page and follow instructions to become an ADDitions School Volunteer, then, submit your information to the choir department. Also, please take a moment to review our Chaperone policies, especially if this might be your first time chaperoning for our choral program.

This year's concert will feature some more exciting music as each the choirs prepare for several competitions just after the new year. We will also have performances by Lakeview Middle School choir, as well as Dr. Redding's professional choir, "Voci del Cuore" (Voices of the Heart). Once again, the choir will be joined by the Orlando Philharmonic. It will be a great way to ring in the holidays! We hope you can join us in our beautiful concert venue, the First United Methodist Church of Orlando (142 E. Jackson.). As indicated on the calendar, our concert is Friday, 12/15 at 7pm. Ticket cost for this concert is $20 (OCPS is free with ID), which helps our department pay for the venue and orchestra. Tickets can be ordered using the link below, and will also be sold at the door for the same price. Orders are due by Friday, December 8th, as ticket distributions will be the week of the concert. Please contact us if you have questions!

Ads & Patrons

This is just a reminder that Ads & Patrons fees, forms, and artwork are due by this Friday, 12/1. Please place all fees and forms in an envelope with you student's name, choir(s), "Ads & Patrons" and amount. Artwork should be print-ready and e-mailed to Mr. Yasay (daryl.yasay@ocps.net). Thank you!
